Imagine yourself getting off work really really late and you can’t workout at your gym because they already closed for the day. Isn’t that frustrating? Some people don’t get off their jobs until very late and some people specially the ones who live in the Philippines (and other countries) that have odd shifts like graveyard shifts has zero chances of having a great gym workout. Sure they can do it at home but its not the same as going to a place where you can just let your fitness fanatic break lose. A lot of people wish there was a gym that was open all day and night long.
Eclipse 24/7 Fitness center is by far the ONLY gym (I know off in the Philippines) that is open 24 hours a day (except during special holidays of course). Yes you heard that right… TWENTY FOUR hours SEVEN days a week. They don’t call themselves 24/7 for nothing. So even people who have seemingly bloody schedules can still go to the gym at whatever time and enjoy a great workout! ISN’T that Amazing?!
So Eclipse 24/7 Fitness Center is the gym I currently go to here in Manila, Philippines. It was founded back in 2006 and they actually have two branches. One in Malate Manila which is the branch I work out at. And the other is at Shaw Blvd. [click here to see their address, map and contact information]
The gym is quite spacious. When you enter you see the front desk where (if you are a member) you scan your card to log in. And then you see their main floor with dozens and dozens of free weights special machines, and of course the GIANT TIRE! They have the cardio/machine room where you have your stationary bicycles, treadmills and elliptical machines etc. and you have another main workout floor in the room next to the dining area. Don’t forget they have nice clean showers and day lockers for your use just bring your own lock and make sure that you empty your locker at the end of your gym session.
The gym is very clean and the people are friendly. The bathrooms and showers and lockers are also very clean (unlike the ones I’ve seen in Beijing . Also it is very lively there. You will hear thumps and clanging of equipment and sometimes you’ll feel like there is an earth quake because of someone flipping the tire or just throwing the weights on the ground which is not prohibited at all as I was told. I have yet to get accustomed to that.
Eclipse is relatively affordable for the level of services that they provide.
They have 1 year memberships, short term memberships (1 month, 3 months, and 6 months) , and a per visit rate. [ click here to see all the rates ]
Another nice thing about Eclipse is that you can approach any of the coaches for help without having to pay a ridiculous amount of money. They encourage the members to ask questions because they really want to help the members and also educate them on proper posture, form, use of equipment So don’t be afraid to ask questions. They don’t bite.
Oh and how can I forget. They serve food there as well. Since they are a 24 hour gym, the coaches and other people who work and go there need to eat. And what is better than to eat healthy food prepared by the gym chef?! Here are some of the photos from the Eclipse Facebook page of some of the food that they offer at the Eclipse Food Bar.
There is only one thing though. They don’t have anything vegetarian friendly so unfortunately I am unable to try their dishes 😦
Along with food, they also serve drinks and even whey shakes.
So this basically sums up my post on Eclipse 24/7 Fitness Center. If you want more info on the gym you can head on to their website at www.eclipsegym.com or visit and like their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/eclipsegym. I really recommend this gym if you are staying in Manila or visiting Manila and in need of a place to really workout.
